A visit to Wiesbaden is worthwhile not only for the shopping opportunities. From the middle of the 19th to the beginning of the 20th century, many representative buildings were built here, such as the “Kurhaus” (spa house) or “Stadtschloss” (city palace), now the seat of the Hessian parliament. Wiesbaden also has parks and museums that are well worth seeing.

Together with Mainz, the neighbouring capital of Rhineland-Palatinate, Wiesbaden forms a double centre with a population of around 500,000. A direct train connection makes Mainz (20 minutes) and Wiesbaden (35 minutes) easily accessible from Groß-Gerau.
