The city of Groß-Gerau has about 25,000 inhabitants and, as the administrative centre of the district of the same name, offers a very good infrastructure and a wide range of shopping facilities. The major cities of Frankfurt, Darmstadt, Mainz and Wiesbaden are very easy to reach by public transport.
